Gearing Up
While it's several notches lower on the excitement meter than, say, signing Bartolo Colon, none the less, I'm glad to have Five Inning Frankie back. As long as he doesn't have to start, he should be OK.
Lots of baseball news in the papers this morning with the overall theme being one of "Epstein will be active," Epstein has a lot to prove," and "it will be a lot of fun to watch."
Agreed.
However, I guess I'm in the minority in Red Sox Nation for feeling like Epstein et al are going to be more conservative than not. I certainly don't think Nomar is going to be traded, let alone Manny or Pedro. We shall see. I do think the Red Sox may come up with a free agent surprise, though. Fingers crossed.
